‘It’s Reinvented!’ by Toyota

CarLocate Team, February 2, 2012, 08:54AM

Toyota has announced the premiere of the extended version of its Super Bowl XLVI commercial. The commercial builds on the reinvention of the 2012 Camry and what it would be like if other things were reinvented for the better.

“Revinvention is a powerful idea and one we took to heart when we redesigned America’s most popular car with the launch of the 2012 Camry and elevated it above the competition,” said Billy Fay, group vice president of marketing at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.

During the Super Bowl viewing of this commercial viewers will be encouraged to tweet with the #Reinvented hashtag about what they’d like to see reinvented and selected tweets will be responded to in real-time with a creative depiction of their idea.

Audi uses Super Bowl ad to End the Vampire Party

CarLocate Team, January 27, 2012, 05:49PM

Audi’s sixty-second spot set to air during Super Bowl XLVI features a vampire theme and the new 2013 Audi S7 with the brand’s signature LED headlight technology.

Audi’s LED headlights take center stage in the commercial; the all-new 2013 Audi S7 arrives at a vampire party in the woods and brings with it an unexpected surprise. “In the spot, Audi LEDs – which at 5,500 Kelvin produce the closest reaction of daylight available – put an end to the vampire party,” said Scott Keogh, Chief Marketing Officer, Audi of America.

“Given the power of the Super Bowl platform, we wanted to create an entertaining spot that clearly focused on our LED headlights – one of our key product attributes – while also sparking conversation whether or not it’s time for us to move on from the omnipresent vampire trend into something new and even more exciting,” Keogh added.

‘Chevy Happy Grad’ wins Route 66 Super Bowl ad Contest

CarLocate Team, January 26, 2012, 09:26AM

As part of Chevrolet’s Route 66 Super Bowl ad contest, Chevrolet asked filmmakers to depict life’s journey and how Chevrolet is there along the way.  After more than 400 scripts and 198 films were submitted from 32 countries a winner was chosen last week.

“Chevy Happy Grad” was an ad submitted by 26-year old Long Island resident Zach Borst, and will be aired during the Super Bowl XLVI. “When I saw Zach’s spot, I had to laugh, because the situation is something many families can relate to – expectation and reality. ‘Happy Grad’ clearly shows the passion that Chevrolet elicits,” said General Motors Global Chief Marketing Officer Joel Ewanick.
