About Lexus

Lexus, the luxury vehicle division of Toyota Motor Corporation, was first introduced in 1989 and was sold only in the U.S. It is now sold worldwide and is Japan's largest-selling make of premium cars. The Lexus LS sedan was the first vehicle to use the Lexus marquee and since then Lexus has added coupes, convertibles and SUVs to its model lineup. In 2005 they added hybrid models and in 2007 the F marquee, Lexus' performance division debuted with the arrival of the IS F sport sedan.

In 1990 Lexus began exporting to the U.K, Switzerland, Canada and Australia. Today Lexus operates in over 70 countries worldwide. Financial data of Lexus operations is not disclosed to the public but Lexus sales have accounted for a large portion of Toyota's annual sales; in the U.S. they account for as much as half of the sales. For the 2011 fiscal year, ending March 31, 2011, Toyota Motor Corporation had net revenues of $246.7 billion. A total of 7.3 million units were sold of Toyota and Lexus models around the world. The Lexus marquee is ranked among the ten largest Japanese global brands based on market value.

Lexus recently showed its newest model the 2013 Lexus GS 350 to the public. This vehicle is touted as a sport sedan with world-class luxury. This new model from Lexus combines bold, dynamic styling, precise handling, innovative technology, and a spacious interior. The new vehicle was designed to be both strong and agile with a more engaging driving experience. The newly redesigned 2013 Lexus GS 350 will be available February 2012.
