The annual GOOD DESIGNTM award ranks as one of the most celebrated international accolades in the field of product design and this year BMW earned 6 awards for six different models; 4 cars and 2 motorcycles.

The BMW 6 Series Convertible, the BMW 6 Series Coupe, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe, and the BMW ActiveE each earned an award for their contemporary design.  The coveted GOOD DESIGNTM awards have been awarded since 1950 and recognize exceptionally innovative and visionary products, concepts, and ideas that go beyond the regular horizons of everyday product design.

The prize is awarded based on the criteria of functionality and aesthetics and is complemented by an ecological aspect that stipulates sustainable designs in keeping with our times.
In the past BMW Group Design has already won the coveted design several times.  Just last year the BMW 5 Series Sedan, MINI Countryman, and BMW Concept 6 were all awarded this prestigious award.
