Chrysler’s New Vehicle Order Tracking System

This week Chrysler revealed an all-new self-service system that will allow customers to track the production progress of their new Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or Ram vehicle.

To use the Vehicle Order Tracking System (VOTS), customers must give their email address to the dealer sales person when the order is being filled out. Once a VIN is generated for the new vehicle customers will receive an email with the number and be able to start tracking their vehicles through the production process.

The VOTS can be accessed at each of the brand sites:

In order to check the progress of your new vehicle you will need the last eight digits of the VIN plus the first and last name used in the dealer order.  Once this information is put in the system customers can see which of the eight production stages their new vehicle is in – although the first two stages, “confirmation” and “production scheduled” will already be completed by the time the customers receives the VIN number.

Tracking the status of your vehicle is just the beginning of Chrysler Group’s new system.  While they do not currently offer photos or videos of the vehicle during production, there is no reason to think this won’t happen in the future.
