After a long, anticipated wait the all-new 2011 Saab 9-4X crossover is arriving in dealerships across the US. The 9-4X is the newest addition to the Saab family and as of now over 100 orders have already been placed for the vehicle.
The 9-4X, which was recently awarded “Top Safety Pick” by IIHS, brings car-like handling and ride qualities not yet found in the crossover segment. Key to its dynamic performance is a unique body structure, purpose-designed for a crossover application and free from compromise through adapting an existing sedan or wagon format.
Available technologies on the Saab 9-4X include Saab’s DriveSense adaptive chassis, with real-time damping control, and Saab XWD, an all-wheel drive system with an electronically-controlled rear limited-slip differential.
Comfort and convenience standard features include a start/stop button and adaptable cargo storage. Available options include a powered tailgate, tri-zone air conditioning and rear seat entertainment packages.
“This is an exciting product, with a true Saab crossover that gives us entry into a new segment,” says President and COO of SCNA, Tim Colbeck.
