Ready to form Voltron! Okay maybe not but another super group has formed up as KISS, MINI, and UNICEF are teaming up to take on tsunami devastation. KISS and MINI raised $129,000 in an eBay online charity auction in which four custom painted and autographed MINI Countryman vehicles were sold. After shipping costs are taken out, the money will be donated to UNICEF to help children in Japan and other disaster victims around the world.
The customized MINI Countryman have become instant collector’s items as they are autographed and come with their custom paint jobs. Gene Simmons (The Demon) said, “The new owners have the satisfaction of knowing that they not only have an instant investment that will keep growing in value, but every time they look at the car, they’ll also be reminded that the real value is knowing that their dollars helped children in the greatest need.”
KISS vehicle wraps can still be bought for those who are disappointed they missed the eBay auction. They can be found at www.MINIUSA.COM/KISS or local MINI dealerships. These new sales will also go to charity as well. Paul Stanley aka Starchild said, “The KISS Army is the greatest army in the world and when they heard the cry for help, they fought back in the best way that they knew how – with their wallets.” With KISS fans and MINI enthusiasts all over the world plenty of wallets have been opened already for this cause and more still answer the call to help.
