Every year since 1997, Brand Keys has published its annual syndicated study – The Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement IndexSM – that examines the relationships between customers and brands. In all, there are 71 brand categories in the study, including automotive, airlines, banks, beers, cereals, cell phones, credit cards, gasoline, pet food, pizza, several different retail store types, soft drinks, and social networking sites.
The study seeks to provide insight into how a specific brand measures up to a consumer’s expectation of the ideal brand in a given category, as well as a brand’s strengths and weaknesses when compared to its competitors.
While the research is targeted at helping companies know more about what they are doing well in attracting and retaining consumers to their brand, consumers may find this information useful as another indicator of the brands that are meeting or exceeding others' expectations.
