Ford Motor Company has announced TracKey, available for the 2012 Mustang Boss 302, which will enable you to control how the vehicle performs simply by selecting a different key to start the vehicle. Each separate key is programmed to work with the Boss 302’s dual-path powertrain control module (PCM) and allows you to choose between street or track driving.

Ford's TracKey - Choose Your Key, Choose Your Boss
Mustang Engineers worked in tandem with Ford Racing to develop TracKey and the new TracMode software that alters more than 200 engine parameters to adjust the car’s powertrain for smooth driving or fast racing.
After installing TracMode, you can still use the standard vehicle key to start your Mustang Boss 302. The PCM settings will automatically re-set to the factory standards, which can be convenient for those who want the racing performance on the track, but smoother handling to drive there.
The TracMode powertrain control software and the TracKey package are purchased from your Ford dealer and installed after delivery. Installation and use of TracKey does not compromise the standard factory warranty. Pricing has not yet been set.
