The annual SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) trade show in Las Vegas showcases hundreds of new products and innovations from car companies and after market automobile accessory companies. This four-day event kicked off Nov. 2 and ends today. While the show is not open to the public, CarLocate.com has some inside scoop on the developments.
Ford: The New Face of Stealth: Police Interceptor Sedan
A specialized concept version of the Ford Police Interceptor sedan debuted this week. The high-tech Police Interceptor stealth version of the vehicle is full of surprises, including a revamped grille, lighting, exhaust, and interior. The vehicle designer drew inspiration from the SR-71 Blackbird, the original stealth airplane revealed in the 60s.
Ford is also auctioning a pool table shaped like a 1965 Mustang at the show to celebrate its new online store.
Hyundai: Unique Equus Revealed
Hyundai teamed up with Mummbles Marketing, a company known for building unique “one-off” vehicles, to customize the Equus - its newest luxury sedan. The VIP-themed “Elegant Equus” will feature a 450-horsepower, high performance engine and advanced technologies as it aims to be the envy of every high-power executive.
The “Elegant Equus” contains some of the highest-performing products on the market, including engine, interior, exterior, brake, wheel and suspension modifications, as well as one-of-a-kind audio and video enhancements. Mummbles installed a turbo kit and carbon fiber accessories to enhance the V8 performance, as well as an Apple iPad to control certain aspects of the vehicle like ride height, luxury curtains, stereo, and windows.

Kia: Variety of Concept and Production-Intent Vehicles
Show goers have a sneak preview to two all-new Soul Special Edition concept vehicles, while Kia Motors America has also teamed with fashion and lifestyle magazine Antenna for the second consecutive year to create “The Duel,” two custom Sportage CUVs that demonstrate the playful and professional aspects of the vehicle with a closet full of style options.

Mazda: Showcase of Aftermarket Prowess
