It’s been a successful year for the 2011 Infiniti M thus far. Since winning the Best in Performance distinction in the AutoPacific Motorist Choice Awards, the luxury sedan has received three more notable recognitions:
- 2010 Top Safety Pick: The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the Infiniti M the top rating of “Good” on all four IIHS safety evaluations, which include frontal offset, side impact, roof strength, and rear crash protection tests.
- Most Horsepower in its Class: Exclusive VVEL technology continually tunes valve lift and timing to give the Infiniti M quicker engine response and a broader torque curve with improved fuel economy. Buyers have a choice of 3.7-liter V6 or 5.6-liter V8 with Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) and up to 420 horsepower.
- 2010 Ward’s Auto Interior of the Year: Ward’s AutoWorld, an automobile trade magazine, honors the Infiniti M as this year’s winner in the premium-priced car category based on its enhanced style, performance, luxury, craftsmanship, and technology.
“We’re thrilled to have the new Infiniti M chosen for this prestigious (Auto Interior) honor right out of the box,” said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti. “Along with its powerful and efficient new engine and dramatic new exterior styling, the M’s interior is a centerpiece of the new design – with luxurious craftsmanship, quality and innovative technology found throughout the spacious cabin."
