The all-new Range Rover Evoque that we first blogged about in July made its global public debut on Sept. 30, at the Paris Motor Show. This was the first stop in the Evoque's 10-stop “Pulse of the City” project, in which Range Rover hopes to connect with bloggers, tweeters, and other influencers to create a global buzz about the new compact SUV. Other cities in the “Pulse of the City” project include Sao Paulo, London, Milan, Moscow, and Shanghai, China.

In addition to being the smallest, lightest, and most fuel-efficient Range Rover ever produced, the Evoque features:

• Sustainability: lightweight and highly fuel-efficient design that demonstrates a commitment to environmental sustainability and expands appeal to a new group of customers who may not have previously considered a Range Rover.
• Design: smart design and meticulous engineering of the dramatic exterior that is based on the Evoque’s inspiration, the LRX concept car.
• Interior quality: cabin decked out with premium quality materials including soft, premium leather and twin-needle stitching to surfaces of instrument panel, doors, and seats.
• Dynamics: the tuned chassis and Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) deliver precise and responsive steering at lower speeds.
• Capable all terrain: permanent all-wheel-drive system, enhanced by the latest version of the company’s Terrain Response^® system.
• Powertrain: new 240bhp, 2.0-liter Si4 engine combines direct fuel injection, turbo-charging, and twin variable valve timing for improved drivability and fuel efficiency.
• Innovation: intuitive control system, touch-screen display, a multitude of connectivity options, new 825W, 17-speaker sound system, Surround Camera System, dual-zone automatic climate control, hard drive navigation system, FM/AM Sirius^® tuners, rear-seat entertainment package, keyless entry, powered tailgate, adaptive headlamps, and heated windshield, front seats, and steering wheel.
• Design themes: three main vehicle designs with distinctive characters, exterior treatments and interior packages; choose from “Pure,” “Prestige,” and “Dynamic.”
