2011 Scion tC - Arriving in Dealerships on Oct. 1
For all the Scion fans out there, the release of the new 2011 Scion tC on October 1 cannot come fast enough. Luckily, Scion has released “Take On The Machine,” a new interactive augmented reality game that puts you in the driver’s seat of the new tC before it hits showroom floors.
Taking a page from other automakers who are incorporating online games and social media into new car introductions, the Scion "Take On The Machine" game puts players in a dystopian world where the city is the machine. The key to overcoming the daunting obstacles being thrown at you within Machine City is by having split-second reactions in the ultra-fast and smooth 2011 tC.
Game features include:
- Scoring: Your score is calculated based upon time. You can log in via Facebook Connect and save your scores to Facebook.
- Leaderboard: Using Facebook Connect, you can compare your score to your friends’ scores. The all-time high scores will be displayed on the game site.
- Achievements: If you complete tasks a certain time, you can unlock different customized tCs.
"At Scion, we feel that the aggressive features of this next-generation tC are very exciting, and we know that a lot of young owners will be equally impressed," said Jack Hollis, vice president of Scion. "Since the all-new 2011 tC offers drivers more power and better handling than the previous model, as well as more aggressive styling and standard premium features, we feel the celebrity treatment is very well deserved."
