August 2010 MINI Cross-Country Caravan Concludes with
Weekend Festival in Denver
Do you consider yourself a MINI enthusiast and a motorer at heart? If so, MINI USA is giving you a chance this summer join thousands of other MINI drivers in a MINI road rally called “MINI Takes the States.”
“MINI owners have much more than just a car,” said Jim McDowell, Vice President, MINI USA. “When they join the MINI family, owners become part of a passionate community that offers camaraderie and fun driving experiences that have become a core part of the MINI brand.”
Beginning August 5, 2010, you can join the MINI Takes the States caravan at one of five tour stops in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. You also can mingle with other drivers and enjoy smaller celebrations at a number of other designated stops along the route, including Columbus, Indianapolis, Charleston, St. Louis, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City.
MINI Takes the States culminates with a weekend festival in Denver, Colo., from August 13-15, 2010. The festival will feature music, MINI-Cross driving challenges, games for your family, and a vendor village where you can get loads of MINI gear for yourself and your vehicle.
At each stop along the route, you also can get an early look at the all-new 2011 MINI Cooper Countryman, the crossover version of the MINI that is scheduled to debut in dealer showrooms in January 2011.
2011 MINI Countryman has room for you and all your gear.
In total, MINI Takes the States drivers will travel through 19 states and cover more than 8,000 miles of road.

More than Just MINI Fun
Blood drives for the American Red Cross will be held at each kickoff city and in Denver. A portion of every MINI Takes the States registration fee also will be donated to the Leukemia Society, in honor of a young MINI enthusiast who lost her battle with blood cancer in 2007.
