New Classics - Updated Versions of Older Cars

CarLocate, December 15, 2009, 09:05AM

Have you noticed a trend lately? Many automakers have been bringing back newer versions of old models! Ok, so some of them might not be called "classic" by everyone (the return of the Ford Fiesta, as an example), but I bet Ford gives it some fun options and a good price... and look at all of the other models!

With some automakers, it might be the return of a specific style. For example, the Ford Taurus SHO is back... and who knew that a Taurus could excite anyone!?

Unless you have been living under a rock that blocks you from the entire automotive industry, you know about recent versions of the Chevy Camaro and Dodge Challenger. These are some of the specific models that have had performance junkies drooling.

Manufacturers such as BMW have even brought in an entire series to give a few more affordable options like they had years ago (check out the 1 series 135i).

Looking into the future, there are new cars in the pipeline that highly resemble some of their previous cousins with quite the fan base. The concept Honda CR-Z looks a lot like the old Honda CR-X. Speaking of imports, where is the Supra? You have to look in the used section of our site to find one of those!

Some less recent returns such as the VW Beetle and the Mini Cooper aren't the latest buzz. In addition, some returns have already hopped away (VW Rabbit & Pontiac GTO). But, regardless if your favorite car has already returned, gone away again, or is returning under a different name, you can be sure that there will be many new cars right around the corner.
