Jeep Rocks & Road Tour Logo

We recently told you about the all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you’re interested in getting an early test drive of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as all the other vehicles in the Jeep® brand lineup, you may want to check out the “Jeep Rocks & Road Tour,” an on- and off-road driving experience that will visit at least 11 cities across the U.S. this year.

The "Jeep Rocks & Road Tour" is open to the public and features obstacle courses that demonstrate Jeep Trail Rated® capabilities. The tour is held in conjunction with air shows, auto shows, and other festivals, so you can bundle your trip to your neighborhood fair with a Jeep vehicle test drive.

Tour Locations and Dates:

Jeep brand vehicles will be on-hand for participants to drive over a variety of surfaces. Attendees will learn to navigate off-road challenges, such as steep grades, rocky trails and log crossings, under the guidance of a trained instructor. Courses include elements that demonstrate the Trail Rated capabilities of Jeep vehicles for articulation, ground clearance, maneuverability and traction.

The family-friendly event also offers children the opportunity to take part in the Jeep brand experience. Jeep kids can drive “Power Wheels” mini-Jeep vehicles, climb a rock wall, and more.

If you already own a Jeep, you’ll have the opportunity to drive your own vehicle on a Jeep Owner’s Playground.

Visit www.jeep.com/rocksandroadtour to register. Bring your confirmation receipt to be sure you get in free to the Jeep portion of the event.

Preview of the New 2011 MINI Countryman

CarLocate Team, July 12, 2010, 10:40AM

At each major stop along the 2010 MINI Takes the States road rally route, drivers will be able to check out the 2011 MINI Countryman, the crossover version of the MINI that will debut in dealer showrooms in the first quarter of 2011.

“The Countryman is the most striking addition to our vehicle lineup so far," said Jim McDowell, vice president, MINI USA. "And development of this vehicle has inspired our engineers and designers; the brand is taking on a new, even feistier, fun-loving attitude."

Size and Style Comparison: MINI Cooper S Hardtop and the MINI Cooper D Countryman

In addition to the MINI Countryman’s nearly 40 cubic feet of cargo space, a key feature that is unique to this model is its innovative Center Rail. The aluminum track stretches from the front to the rear of the cabin and offers storage for personal items, electrical and USB connections for seamless integration of smart phones and other devices, and a large number of attachments to fit the driver’s lifestyle.

The MINI Countryman is expected to offer the best fuel economy in the crossover segment. It will be the first crossover to feature a turbocharged and direct-injected engine that help provide optimum performance and efficiency. Countryman powertrain options include Cooper, Cooper S, or Cooper S with ALL4, which is a four-wheel drive system.

Excited about the new MINI Countryman? Contact a MINI dealer now so that you can be one of the first people in your area to drive one.

Kia Motors America will be the “official vehicle” for the 2010 Vans Warped Tour®, which features more than 150 punk rock bands traveling through 40 U.S. cities this summer.

In announcing Kia’s participation in the concert tour, Michael Sprague, vice president of marketing for Kia, said, “We are delighted to provide concertgoers with interactive elements like a live DJ, exclusive autograph sessions, VIP wristbands and the opportunity to check out Kia’s latest vehicles, while listening to their favorite bands.”

At each concert, attendees can visit the Soul Lounge, which will feature autograph sessions with Hey Monday and Christofer Drew of NeverShoutNever. By playing a variety of Kia-related games in the Soul Lounge, concertgoers can also earn VIP wristbands for the VIP riser that features shade and unobstructed views of the main stage.
