Subaru Launches FirstCarStory.com

In support of the all-new 2012 Subaru Impreza, Subaru has launched its First Car Story campaign.  This campaign features a groundbreaking animation generator that allows users to recreate their first car, tell their story, and see it turned into an animated video – all at their campaign hub FirstCarStory.com. Users can set their story to music and narrate it with their own voice. Then through Facebook, Twitter, or email users can share their video with family and friends throughout their social network.

“Everyone loved their first car, no matter how bad, beat up, or borrowed, That first car became a new chapter in life or a ticket to freedom and first car stories are often the most memorable stories we have,” said Alan Bethke, director, marketing communications, Subaru of America. “The First Car Story campaign provides a creative outlet for reliving those unique, funny, unforgettable car experiences anyone who had a first car can relate to.”

Mazda Launches ‘Seuss-ified’ Ad Campaign

Mazda announced its partnership in support of the launch of Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.  Mazda was chosen as a partner for the animated adventure because of its innovative SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and commitment to empower consumers to make more informed choices for their families and the environment.

As part of the partnership Mazda will launch a co-branded national Dr Seuss’ The Lorax-themed commercial spot based around Mazda’s SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY, which increases fuel economy without sacrificing fuel economy. The newest Mazda ad features the all-new 2013 Mazda CX-5 small crossover SUV traveling through the “Truffula Valley” featured in the 3D feature.

“We’re proud to be working with so many talented individuals to bring to life this wonderful partnership with Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Dr Seuss ’ The Lorax movie,” said Don Romano, chief marketing officer, MNAO. “The Lorax character’s view of the environment fit in exactly with Mazda and SKYACTIVE TECHNOLOGY so the two were a perfect match for a commercial,” said Illumination Entertainment founder and CEO Chris Meledandri. “By staying true to who the Lorax and other ‘Truffula Valley’ animals are we were able to create a fun and engaging spot.”
