With the holiday season in full swing and Christmas right around the corner, we thought it’s appropriate to address the ever-growing phenomenon of “dressing up” your car. You know you’ve seen it, or maybe you participate in the fun yourself- the car adorned with two antlers and a big, red nose attached to the grill. Not ringing a bell? How about the one with a giant, wreath or bow placed smack-dab in the center of its grill?

When it comes to holiday decorations, we Americans spare no expense. Somewhere between Thanksgiving and the first weeks of December, our homes, trees and bushes are covered in lights. We cover our yards and roofs with decorations, we put wreaths on our doors- and that’s just the outside. Inside, we pull out all of our knick knacks we seem to have accumulated over the years, deck out a tree, hang some mistletoe and stockings, and turn up that holiday music for full effect.

Some people are taking their holiday decorations to the next level; their cars. Is this something you find yourself getting into to? Post a picture of a decked out car on the CarLocate Facebook page. In the spirit of Halloween, we thought it would be fun to imagine what our favorite scary characters might choose as their top car picks.

Count Dracula’s continual top pick is likely a red Corvette. Dracula might be centuries old, but he sure isn’t afraid to make a statement while cruising around Transylvania. Dracula commands attention - and this car does just that. Keep an eye out… you may just see Count Dracula fly by in his red Corvette, but he’ll be gone before you know it (if you’re lucky…).

This year, Frankenstein has chosen the H2 Hummer - and he went green, of course. Since he’s 8 feet tall, not just any vehicle will do the trick. His car has to be big and fierce, just like him. With the tinted windows, Frankenstein can easily block out others, but what will he do with all that extra space since he’s not exactly a social individual?

Believe it or not, but the Wicked Witch has hung up her broom (well, except for on Halloween of course). Instead she’s cruising through town in her new black Lexus IS C convertible. She might be hanging up the broom for now, but she’s not willing to sacrifice speed, style, or the wind in her hair. 

This Halloween, keep your eyes peeled… you might just catch a glimpse of one of these legends cruising around your neighborhood.
