DAYTON, Ohio – July 13, 2011 – The CarLocate Crew continues to encourage an appreciation for the environment beyond Earth Day with their latest volunteer project. The Crew recently volunteered at the Germantown MetroPark, located near the CarLocate.com headquarters in Dayton, Ohio, where they helped restore a wildflower seed nursery by removing an invasive weed called Sweet Clover. The team clipped, collected, and removed the weeds to help prepare the area for future tours and events at the Germantown MetroPark. [Photos.]
"We're continuing our efforts to help improve our local environment," said Nicole Case, general manager for CarLocate.com. "This latest volunteer effort by the CarLocate Crew is one more example of how our team is making our local areas more attractive and more enjoyable for those who live in or visit the Greater Dayton area."
The Germantown MetroPark is managed by Five Rivers MetroParks, an organization dedicated to protecting Greater Dayton's natural heritage and providing outdoor recreation and education experiences that inspire a lasting personal connection with nature.
